What is an Intergenerational Arts Initiative?
Intergenerational arts programs bridge generations while inspiring and promoting the creative process. Research reveals improved health and social outcomes for older adults participating in arts programs and an increased understanding of aging for youth participating in intergenerational programs.
There are lots of stories untold. We believe that sharing art and culture through the social exchange of young and old will feed the souls of those involved and change their lives for the better. Our hope is that with shared stories, paintings, and songs, these experiences will teach our grandparents and our children how to leave their mark on the world.

I love this! How can I get involved?
Tradition is alive and well in South Louisiana, and Theatre Acadie's mission has always been a driver in bringing ways for people to learn about and participate in local culture and the arts.
